Hillfoots eased their relegation worries with well deserved victory over fellow strugglers Trinity.The visitors kicked off downhill and soon had the homeside under preesure.'Foots weathered the initial storm and gradually worked their way up the park.The set pieces were going well,with the scrum solid and Dave Cree and Jason Morgan dominating the lineouts.Trinty had the first oppurtunity to put points on the board,but the visiting stand offs efforts were well short.Mid way through the first half Andrew Hamilton opened the scoring with a well struck penalty.With half time approaching Hillfoots were awarded a second kickable penalty.The visitors turned their backs allowing Hamilton to take a quick tap.The ball was moved out to the wing before coming back into the waiting forwards.A couple of pick and drives allowed veteran campaigner Sandy Penman to crash over.

The second half started well for 'Foots with the backs looking dangerous on several occasions.With 15 minutes gone Hamilton extended the homeside's lead with a well taken try following good work from the forwards.The next period of play belonged to the visitors.Good inter play between the backs and forwards saw Hillfoots stretched and the visiting stand off broke through for a deserved score.Hillfoots hit back and soon had the Trinity line under siege only for some desperate defence keeping them out.With Trinity still hanging on for a bonus point Kenny Paterson sealed the win for 'Foots after scooping up a loose ball and outpacing the home defence,leaving Hamilton with an easy conversion.'Foots went in search of the bonus point,however,despite creating several more chances Hillfoots failed to cross the line.The man of the match awards went to Gavin Paterson and Jason Morgan,who were both outstanding for the whole 80 minutes.
